  • Managing and maintaining a grants calendar to track deadlines, outcomes, and reporting requirements

  • Collaborating with the CEO and other team members to gather key information and develop compelling proposals

  • Preparing supporting documents, budgets, and narratives tailored to each funding program

  • Monitoring awarded grants for compliance and assisting with reporting or renewals

Why Join Us:

  • Mission-driven work: The grants you secure help us train and hire more students and grow our impact across Canadian universities.

  • Startup energy: You’ll have the autonomy to shape and lead the grant function in a growing company. Your ideas won’t be lost in layers of red tape.

  • Tangible impact: Every successful application has a real effect on our ability to serve more students, build new programs, and expand nationally.

  • Tight-knit team: We’re a small, collaborative group that values each other’s input and celebrates shared wins — especially when new grants come in.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience writing successful government or institutional grant applications

  • Strong written communication and editing skills — You can make technical language clear and compelling

  • Excellent research skills — You’re proactive about finding new opportunities and understanding funder priorities

  • High attention to detail — You catch the small things that can make or break a grant

  • Organized and deadline-driven — You manage multiple applications and deadlines without dropping the ball

  • Comfortable working independently, while also collaborating with the executive team

  • A good sense of strategy — You can identify which grants align best with our goals as a startup and student employer
