We came out of the UofA’s business accelerator program in 2022 and have received a substantial amount of support from investors and the university community. We have experienced rapid growth and are actively hiring to meet increasing demand.
Position: Student Financial Advisor
We are seeking motivated individuals to join us as Student Financial Advisors. In this role, you will have the opportunity to directly assist students and new grads in managing their finances by:
Finding and applying for grant opportunities.
Opening up a TFSA and investment accounts through automated platforms like Wealthsimple.
Assisting students in understanding personal finance topics like budgeting and credit score.

Full-time positions upon graduation: The student financial advisor position is designed to act as a stepping stone towards a full-time financial planning position upon graduation.
Requirements:
Self-motivation and excellent organizational abilities – As the position operates with a minimal amount of oversight; this role works best for individuals comfortable taking responsibility for their own decision-making.
Enjoys helping others – The majority of your time is spent directly working with students; this role is best suited to those who are motivated by doing what’s best for others.
Strong at written and verbal communication – You will be required to write essays for grants, send frequent emails, and work face-to-face with clients.
Fast-learner and open to feedback – As a fast-growing company, things are constantly changing; this role is best suited to those who quickly adapt to changes, come up with creative solutions, and are comfortable making mistakes.
Compensation:
$20 per hour
After a successful co-op/contract term, employees are invited to continue full-time to receive a salary, stock options, and reimbursements for licensing exams towards a financial planning designation!
